He observed the place, and he drew a plan

Modern sky scrapers and shopping malls
Dance bars and new disco balls
Then in a few years he had done what he could
Got an idea that surely would
Destroy heaven, where he did not belong
Laughed and he laughed said it wasn’t long
Then he opened the place for the mortal man
People avoided heaven and filled in when they can
This is the place where the devil dwells
